Embassy of China Signed a Cooperative Agreement with Rwanda Wushu-Kungfu Federation

On October 30th, 2019, Ms. XING Yuchun, Political Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda met with Mr. Marc Uwiragiye, President of Rwanda Wushu-Kungfu Federation (RWKF). Both sides signed an agreement for cooperation.


Mr. Uwiragiye said, under the strong support of the Chinese Embassy, the RKWF had made significant progress in the development of its organization building, events organizing, skills training and social influence. The number of RKWF clubs had increased to 25 with over 2000 members, and Wushu was growing to be a popular sport in Rwanda.


Counsellor XING expressed the appreciation for the efforts RKWF had made in popularization of the Chinese Wushu and the promotion in China-Rwanda people-to-people exchanges and friendship. He advised that the RWKF enhance its communication and coordination with the Chinese Embassy, strengthen capacity building and organize more high quality activities, so as to better promote the mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples of China and Rwanda with the bridge of Chinese Wushu. The Chinese Embassy was willing to provide usual support based on its capabilities to the RWKF.
