On November 2nd, 2023, Ms. Lin Hang, Chargé d’affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy, met with Mr. Jackson Vugayabagabo, Ag. Director General of Imbuto Foundation. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding, renewing the Embassy’s cooperation with Imbuto Foundation.
Ms. Lin said that the Chinese Embassy has been working with Imbuto Foundation since 2013 to support well-performing secondary students from low-income households, which has achieved good social benefits. The cooperation between the two sides has entered its tenth year, she hopes the two sides could work further for more contributions to the development of Rwandan youth and education.
Mr. Jackson thanked the Chinese Embassy for its long-term support and said that the "Edified Generation" has changed the lives of many outstanding young people. The Foundation is willing to explore more cooperation with the Embassy and deepen the people-to-people friendship between Rwanda and China.
