Second Job Fair for Rwandan Chinese Alumni Successfully Concludes

On September 9, the Second Job Fair for Rwandan Chinese Alumni was successfully held in Kigali. H.E. Mr. Wang Xuekun, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, and Mr. Patrick Kananga, Chief Labor and Decent Work Administrator of the Ministry of Public Services and Labor of Rwanda attended the event.

Ambassador Wang Xuekun noted the steady and robust growth of China-Rwanda relations, with achievements in comprehensive spheres. He commended the work of Chinese entrepreneurs for contributing to Rwanda’s transformation and deepening the ties between China and Rwanda. The Ambassador said that the activity aims to serve the purpose of supporting Africa’s human resources development, which is in line with the Plan for China-Africa Cooperation on Talent Development announced by President Xi Jinping recently, and provide a platform for Chinese companies and Rwandan Chinese alumni. He hopes the alumni and participants could put their talents and skills into practice, to work for the development of Rwanda socio-economy and add to China-Rwanda friendship.

Mr. Kananga expressed the thanks to the people and government of China for the long-term support for Rwanda's economic development and the care about the development of Rwadan Chinese alumni. He encouraged participants to seize opportunities, give full play to their personal strengths, so as to contribute to Rwanda’s development.

This event was jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda and the Rwanda Chinese Alumni Organization, a society for Rwandans graduated from Chinese universities. Thirty Chinese enterprises and more than 200 people participated in the event.
