On June 30th, Ambassador Wang Xuekun met Right Hon. Dr. Ngirente, Prime Minister of the Republic of Rwanda, and exchanged on the China-Rwanda relations and practical cooperation.

Amb. WANG said, China and Rwanda enjoyed deep traditional friendship. Since the establishment of their diplomatic relations, the two countries have been hand in hand and got through times. In recent years, the bilateral practical cooperation yielded fruitful results and significantly benefited the two peoples. China is ready to work with Rwanda to push forward the bilateral relations in various areas under the framework of FOCAC and Global Development Initiative, so as to promote China-Rwanda relations to new height, and build a China-Rwanda and China-Africa community with shared future.

Dr. Ngirente said, as Rwanda’s good friend and partner, China has been long providing valuable support to the socio-economic development of Rwanda in areas like education, agriculture and infrastructure. Rwanda is thankful to this help and partnership. Rwanda would like to borrow China’s experience on development, strengthen bilateral cooperation, and make bigger contribution to the bilateral ties.
