From June 17 to 18, Kung Fu Genocide Memorial Tournament 2023 Edition was successfully held in Kigali. Ms. Lin Hang, Minister-Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Rwanda, representative of the Ministry of Sports of Rwanda, along with other guests from local and abroad attended the game.

In her remarks, Ms. Lin Hang emphasized the connotation of Kungfu of safeguarding peace and promoting self-reliance and self-discipline, and hopes the local players continue to contribute to the people-to-people exchanges between China and Africa.

The Representative from the Ministry of Sports of Rwanda and President of the Rwanda Kungfu Wushu Federation expressed appreciation to the Embassy for the latter’s long-standing support for the development of Kungfu in Rwanda, and wishes the players will further improve and aim higher.

Nearly 120 players from Rwanda, Kenya, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania and D.R. Congo competed in the tournament.
