On September 28, 2021, His Excellency Rao Hongwei, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Rwanda, met with His Excellency Amir Muhammad Khan, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Rwanda.

Ambassador Rao congratulated the new envoy on his assumption of duty. Both sides exchanged views on Rwanda's socio-economic development and the relations of respective countries with Rwanda. They agreed that the two missions would further enhance exchanges and communications.

Ambassador Rao also presented China and Rwanda, the first published book on China-Rwanda relations to High Commissioner Khan after the meeting.
