On February 24, 2021, His Excellency Rao Hongwei, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, met with H. E. Lulit Zewdie, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Rwanda.

Amb. Zewdie briefed Amb. Rao about updates of the domestic situation in Ethiopia, as well as Ethiopia-China bilateral relations. Amb. Rao said China and Ethiopia enjoy long-lasting friendship, with frequent high-level exchanges and close cooperation. China believes that the Ethiopian government has the capability to manage relevant issues. Both sides agreed to further enhance exchanges and communications between the two embassies.
