On Febrary 16th 2021, H. E. RAO Hongwei, Chinese Ambassador to Rwanda, met with Hon. Vincent Biruta, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Hon. Uzziel Ndangijimana, the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of the Republic of Rwanda.
On behalf of the Rwandan government and people, the two ministers conveyed festive greetings and best wishes to Amb. Rao and the Chinese people. They spoke highly of Rwanda-China friendly cooperation and wished the bonds between the two countries and the two peoples continue to flourish in the Year of the Ox.
Amb. Rao said that the year 2021 marks the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-Rwanda diplomatic relations. Rwanda will also come to a critical stage in its economic and social transformation and development. In the Year of the Ox, China will work with Rwanda for higher quality and efficiency of the practical cooperation, so as to deliver greater benefits to our two peoples and set a fine example of mutually beneficial cooperation among developing countries.
Both sides also exchanged views on issues of common concern.
